Two days late, but here it is--the first anniversary of this little online dumping ground. 191 posts. I've declared war on carbs lately (again), so I'll have to put the candle in a slab of prime rib. If I had more energy--or a bit more time--I'd scour the archives and list my favorite posts / comments, but that will have to wait.
In other news, it now seems our little National Open House thingie on HGTV was a false alarm, and now we're slated for Monday, 9/11. We think. (That's what the website says.) Mark your calendars!
Many thanks to Jeffy for joining the effort. We'll have to throw a separate party when his year passes.

Happy birthday Journal Wunelle! And many more...
How's Mom?
Happy Bloggiversary!
A prime rib 'cake' sounds great to me!! Maybe it could be decorated with bacon. Wait, I hear the fridge calling...
Happy Anniversary!
Continued small improvements w/ mummy. She's able to feed herself a bit now, the beginnings of what we hope will eventually lead to the removal of the feeding tube. There's a bit more communication, but only of the most essential things--"yes and no," really.
There's also a bit of stubbornness returning, but to the detriment of her therapy (which I think she's decided she's had enough of). Good and bad.
Too bad she won't see the HGTV thing!
Maybe it is the crack like addiction I have to this space, but it seems like you post far less often than the 1.91 days/post average the above statistic would suggest.
At any rate, congrats on a year, and here's to many happy returns.
no joke, my word verification for that last post was way-tu-du
Karma!
Happy online-birthday! As virtual cake has no carbs, I'm sending a big slab. :)
Boy, that 1.9 days per post seems fanciful now! I think I posted most every day for the first half a year, and now--this summer especially--I've been closer to once a week. I debated (as every blogger does, I know) pulling the plug, but I think I'll have more to say during the winter months. Also, lately I've kind of been living in my little shell, not doing much to keep up with the world; so I have fewer comments on things. That's fine, methinks.
And the virtual cake was virtually fanTAStic! ;-)
